You may submit your vital record request directly to West Virginia by mail. Click here to receive an official West Virginia application. A modest service fee applies.
You will receive your birth certificate, or other requested vital record within one to three weeks, usually within two weeks, of submitting your application to West Virginia.
You may speed the process by sending your application via United Status Postal Service (USPS) or other express courier. You may also enclose a self addressed pre-paid express return envelope.
