Consular Records of Birth Abroad (CRBA's) are used to obtain passports and for other legal purposes in lieu of birth certificates for US citizens born abroad.

CRBA's are issued by the US Department of State and may be received within 10 business days of submitting your request. Although it has not been our experience, the State Department states that it can take up to eight weeks to receive your CRBA after submitting your request.

The link below takes you to our order page for the application form and instructions. A nominal fee applies.

NOTE: We do not recommend that you use, or pay, a third party to submit your application. Third parties cannot shorten the CRBA process time and may, in fact, increase it.
